Ty’s Tasty Granola Recipe

A simple and tasty granola recipe for your everyday eating enjoyment.

Ingredients

  • 4 c old-fashioned oats
  • 1 c almonds (sliced or whole)
  • 1/4 c brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbs granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dark cocoa baking powder
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1/4 c coconut oil
  • 1 tbs vanilla extract

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/2 c pepitas (raw or roasted and salted)
  • 1/2 c dried sweetened cranberries
  • 1/2 c something you want to try…

Directions

  • Mix dry ingredients thoroughly
  • In a pan, melt oil and honey until liquid, then stir in vanilla
  • Drizzle mixture over dry ingredients
  • Mix to coat completely
  • Transfer to parchment paper-lined cookie sheet and spread evenly
  • Bake in preheated oven at 300° F for 60 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and place pan on a cooling rack to cool
  • Mix in any dried fruit or chocolate
  • Break up and place in a dry storage container/bag
